As Dagmar Wöhrl announced on friday in Berlin, also Silbermond, Fettes Brot, Cinema Bizarre, Polarkreis 18 and 2 Newcomer Bands from Munich will be receiving this award.

Wöhrl said that the Music Lion will be presented even though the musicgathering “Popkomm” was cancelled this year. «We want to show Europe to show them what the German Music Business has to offer.», she accentuated. Besides the awards for the musicians, one of the Porcelain Lions will go to the german youth magazine «Bravo» for «50 years of Newcomer Development» as well as to «On3», the Bavararian Broadcast for «Newcomer Development Multimedia».

The Awardshow of the «Bavarian Music Lion 2009» will take place on the September 17 at 8 p.m. in Berlin. The Awardshow will be presented by TV Host Marco Schreyl.
